As a ‘solution thinker’ I help teams and organisations to change, improve and accelerate. To break out of an impasse, to create space for inventiveness and creativity, and to get the energy flowing again. I combine years of practical experience with my own LSD mindset, in which we simultaneously work on the What, Why and How of getting stuck.
SPARRING
In fact, I am not an advisor or a consultant, those terms do not cover the essence of my role. Sparring partner is more appropriate. Or improviser. Using the LSD mindset, I explore the problem and the possible solution together with you, the team(s) and, if desired, the entire organization.
The strength lies in simultaneously working on the What, Why and How. As an LSD coach, I do not write bulky plans. Instead I inspire and challenge you to experiment and iteratively find new ways.
EDUCATION
Fortunately, education has long been more than just ‘book learning’. Today’s teacher has been (and still is) working at the coalface. They act in the educational setting as well as in practice. The world has changed and the teacher has changed with it.
What has also changed is the world of pupils and students. They come to work in a complex, VUCA world. Where creativity and resilience are vital and continuous innovation is the norm. This means that every student – regardless of his or her studies – should have the right ‘Growth’ mindset. Lean Story Design therefore offers a great tailor-made learning programme for schools and educational institutions.
PROJECT & INTERIM
Depending on my availability, I regularly work internally with the client for a while. In the role of freelance design thinker, innovation coach, lean startup coach, storyteller, marketer, agile coach or scrum master.
As an interim ‘coach’, my main mission is to make myself superfluous. Because for me, earnings are just a by-product of passionate work and success – my intrinsic drive is ‘beautiful solutions to complex problems’ – I get down to business as quickly as possible.
Note that I am based in Utrecht, the Netherlands, so assignments abroad will be remote via video conferencing.
