Lean story Design is not a culture change model, but a mindset. We dó build a culture of inspiration, experimentation and optimization within the teams. As a by-catch, this leads to a change in the organizational culture.
Culture of inspiration
To lay the foundation for a culture of inspiration, LSD believes in the power of words. After all, an organization is in its core a collection of stories. We make use of storytelling techniques. This is about personal stories. We all tell our own story. So we ‘take ourselves to work’.
Culture of experimentation
In order to lay the foundation for a culture of experimentation, we mainly work with the principles and toolkit called design thinking. ‘It arises while we make it’ and ‘we think with our hands’. We think in options. We always look for the best solution for the user and work closely with the user.
Culture of optimization
In order to lay the foundation for the culture of optimization, we will work with the Lean and Agile pillars resilience and autonomy.
With resilience we look at the processes. We double our failure rate to succeed faster. We find our way intuitively. We don’t pour things into concrete, but remain fluid like honey.
Autonomy is about the space we are given to determine what we do for ourselves. Of course with attention to the other side of the coin: responsibility. Autonomy is a huge accelerator for resilience.
